And even though this is not posted in Nov for NaBloPoMo, in continuing with my theme of differences between the UK & US the electric sockets over here are bigger and have 3 prongs of which one is plastic & only used for protection to open the covers over the "live" prongs (no need to have those baby proof covers like we have in the US). Another difference is that each socket has an individual on & off switch - ruddy annoying when you first live here & are always wondering why the power won't work, before you realise it's just a matter of flipping a switch.Labels: differences in the UK
